About Me
Hello and welcome…
I’m Paula, an experienced and qualified Health and Wellbeing Coach who is registered and fully insured. In addition to my coaching, I am a dedicated Meditation and mindfulness teacher, an Aromatherapist, a skilled Massage therapist, a knowledgeable Reflexologist, and an energy coach. My primary focus lies in promoting health, enhancing overall wellbeing, and providing expert reflexology services to support your journey towards better health.
A member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists and the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners.
My story - and why I’m passionate about Coaching, Meditation and Complementary therapies..
In my thirties, my father was diagnosed with lung cancer and spent time at a local hospice. I was impressed by their kindness and support. Later, I wanted to help others like my father, so I studied anatomy, massage, aromatherapy, and reflexology. In 2004, after qualifying, I volunteered as a therapist with Hospiscare, helping clients and families at home. I then opened a small shop in Axminster, Devon, offering therapies and selling fair trade, natural skincare products and candles. Although the shop did well, it faced challenges, and I closed it in 2012, returning to administrative work. I worked as a marketing manager in tourism until I was made redundant in 2020. This was a tough time that led to depression and anxiety, leaving me unsure of my next steps. I realized I needed help and signed up for a life coach to aid my return to work.
During our sessions, we discussed my strengths and my passion for working and supporting people. This led me to research and seek out a reputable health coaching course. The College of Naturopathic Medicine in London ticked all the boxes. A natural and organic approach to health, a way of living that supports clients through stress, illness, and mental health. This course not only gave me a credible qualification but also turned my health around. I am now fitter than I have ever been and my diet and mental health improved immensely. I now manage the Axminster Health and Wellbeing Centre alongside my own private wellbeing practice.
For the past twenty years, I have dedicated myself to practicing mindfulness meditation and have had the opportunity to participate in numerous silent retreats, each offering unique insights and experiences. More recently, I have made it a priority to engage in daily meditation practices, and despite navigating some challenging periods in my life, I have discovered a profound inner sense of calm and peace. Inspired by my journey, I have now decided to share my teachings with others who seek similar tranquility and guidance on their own paths.
If you are at a turning point, feeling anxious or depressed, or seeking a new direction, please reach out. I offer a FREE discovery chat to help find solutions together. Life's journey can be difficult, and when you feel lost or blocked, working together can make the path easier and less frightening.
Things I love! My happy place
When I’m not working or studying, I love to walk with my two dogs in the beautiful Devon countryside, running, lifting weights at the gym or relaxing with my yoga practice or meditation.
